Ai Coding Interview Questions

Highlighted in modern interview loops at DoorDash, this collaborative AI coding challenge requires you to build a workflow engine that parses delivery definitions, executes delayed operations, and computes automated refunds. The task tests your software engineering capabilities, prompt engineering strategies for automated test generation, and system logic design in an AI-assisted environment. You will need to integrate starter code cleanly while managing complex state transitions. Access to the full prompt details and a reference implementation requires a paid subscription.

This Meta interview question is a comprehensive, multi-stage challenge focused on AI-enabled maze solving. Starting with debugging existing code, you'll progressively enhance a pathfinding algorithm. The problem evolves from basic traversal to incorporating complex elements like keys and doors, and eventually dealing with obstacles such as bombs. This tests your ability to apply graph traversal algorithms like BFS or DFS, manage intricate game states, and incrementally build a robust solution while identifying and fixing issues. It's a deep dive into algorithmic problem-solving. The full problem and model solution require a subscription.

Reported as an innovative Meta assessment round, this practical take-home challenge tests your ability to collaborate with modern AI tools to build, extend, and defend a full-stack content moderation feature. You will be evaluated on your coding velocity, architectural decisions, and how effectively you handle live extensions during the walkthrough phase. To unlock the complete project prompt, evaluation rubrics, and model implementation details, a paid subscription is required.

Reported as a Meta interview challenge, this task revolves around selecting a collection of words that maximizes total character coverage while ensuring all chosen letters are completely unique. You must first debug an existing code snippet for edge cases before building a backtracking and bitmasking strategy to efficiently explore valid combinations across various dataset scales. This exercise tests your debugging instincts and combinatorial search optimization under constraints. The complete problem breakdown and verified model solution require a subscription to view.

Tackle this Meta interview puzzle involving a card-matching game where you must systematically discover combinations that add up to a target sum. You will progress through multiple implementation tiers, ranging from debugging initial draw mechanics to engineering efficient scoring algorithms and optimizing iterative subset selections under strict constraints. This exercise evaluates your proficiency with debugging asynchronous workflows, combinatorial logic, and clean code refactoring. Access to the full problem description, test harnesses, and model solution requires a subscription.

Representing a modern onsite evaluation format at Coinbase, this collaborative coding round assesses how effectively you partner with an integrated AI assistant to resolve software defects, implement ambiguous features, review pull requests, and debug production logs. Rather than testing raw syntax generation alone, interviewers evaluate your prompt engineering, validation methodology, and critical oversight when integrating machine-generated code into a structured repository. Discover the comprehensive problem scenario, evaluation rubrics, and expert strategies to ace this round with a subscription.

A typical scenario in SoFi Karat interviews, this collaborative coding round drops you into an unfamiliar codebase to implement an accessibility feature for users with disabilities. You will need to reason about existing architectural patterns, justify your design choices, and successfully adapt your code when an unexpected limitation is introduced mid-session. This task measures your adaptability, communication skills, and practical software engineering judgment.
